The wonderful Tyran Roy couldn’t be merely summarised as a singer-songwriter, with his incorporation of folk, blues and country into his signature sound creating a wide sonic scope. Based in KwaZulu-Natal, Tyran traveled down to the studio to track this album across several sessions in 2024, and released the songs one-by-one until the album was complete and ready for a full release.
These are sincerely beautiful songs, with unique elements like the pedal steel guitar, lap steel and a musical saw all lending remarkable tones and depth to the project.
